Same Toast Problem, Different Job: OKRs, KPIs, and SMART Goals

I've implemented OKRs, KPIs, and SMART goals across different client contexts, and I still found myself blurring where one ends and another starts. The same metric shows up on a dashboard, inside a quarterly goal, and again in someone's task list, wearing a different name each time.

So I went back to the research and simplified the overlap with an everyday analogy: making toast.

KPI = monitor it. Key Result = target it. SMART goal = execute against it.
